"I did not think it was fair to close Krystal in Statesboro. We always received great service and politeness and could always sit outside, take it home with you. It makes no sense."

"Ms. Holli, Ms. Holli, please! I know for some reason or other you seem to love 'W', as you call him, but why in the world do you have to lay it on so thick? Give the rest of us a break, please."

"I just want to thank the young man that tapped on my window Friday and told me I had a flat tire. I turned immediately and went to Stringer station and had my tire fixed in less than 45 minutes. I could have ruined it if he had not done that. Thank you so much."

"How can that Soundoff caller say that GSU can't host the president since it's a one-sided political event? GSU routinely hosts liberal Democrats under the guise of intellectual freedom. They're even hosting a museum exhibit about Islam. Besides, George Bush is not just another politician. He is president of the United States."

"I would like to know if the city can please, please paint those benches in the Renaissance Park … to beautify the park a little bit?"

"For you folks that grow pecans … you can get 20 to 25 cents a pound more in Candler County than you can in Bulloch County anywhere that I know of. I don't know why it's the way that is, but Candler County pays more for pecans. So be sure and take 'em there."

"My word! No wonder the Middle East is so discombobulated. It's who's on first, what's on second about the president's trip to Statesboro. It's not rocket science. It's a simple little town with a flight. So, wonder what's going on with the White House? Please tell me.

"Holli Deal Bragg has used the word 'reign" twice now with reference to Bush. If he were king, then we would be his subjects, something I would find intolerable and something over which we fought a war with another George over 200 years ago."

"I just wanted to call in and congratulate Coach Van Gorder and his entire Eagle football team for the job they done this past past weekend against Appalachian State. I'd also like to say to all the so-called Eagle fans that jump on and off the Eagle bandwagon, you should be ashamed of yourselves for not backin' 'em in tough times."

"Sometimes when you try to fix something that isn't broke, you make it worse. That's what has happened to Georgia Southern's football program."
