Grammy Award-winning country music trio Lady Antebellum will headline Georgia Southern University's spring concert Friday, May 2, at Paulson Stadium.

The concert follows in the tradition of recent spring shows put on by The Band Perry and The Fray, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley and Three Doors Down.

Lady Antebellum is known for hits such as "I Run To You," "American Honey," "Just A Kiss" and others. The band includes Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood.

The single "Need You Now" claimed five of the trio's seven career Grammy wins in 2011. Their latest album, "Golden," features "Downtown," which is the highest-debuting single in the band's career.

Joe Nichols, whose hits include "Gimmie That Girl," "The Impossible" and "Sunny and 75," will serve as one of the opening acts for Lady Antebellum.

Kristian Bush will also be an opening act. Bush is one half of the platinum-selling country duo Sugarland, which is known for songs including "Baby Girl," "Stay" and "Stuck Like Glue."

Tickets for Georgia Southern students will go on sale Monday, March 24, and public general admission tickets will go on sale Monday, March 31. Student tickets are $25 for stands and $30 for field. Faculty/staff tickets are $35 for stands and $40 for field. General public tickets are $45 for stands and $50 for field.
