Anya Johnson

No foul play is suspected in the Jan. 11 disappearance of a Candler County woman, but law enforcement officers are still seeking answers as to Anya Johnson’s whereabouts.

Candler County Sheriff’s Inv. Melvin Ivey said Johnson, 38, has a history of disappearance, having been reported missing twice in the past. He said Monday he does not feel there is any foul play or suspicious activity involved in the case.

Johnson’s family reported her missing to the Candler County Sheriff’s Department on Jan 17, according to reports. Family members told investigators Johnson left home Jan. 11 driving a white 1995 Nissan Maxima.

She is a black female, standing 5 feet 2 inches and weighing around 100 pounds. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call the Candler County Sheriff’s Department at (912) 685-2568 or Metter Police Department at (912) 685-5437.
