Police Report - 3-6-14; A woman told police her daughter was struck by a juvenile male.

    Because of incorrect information supplied, the age of a suspect listed in Wednesday’s Police Report was reported incorrectly. Zachary Deal Hawk Jr., of Middleground Road, who was charged with criminal attempt to purchase marijuana, is 21 years old.

    ▲ EL SOMBRERO/NORTHSIDE DRIVE EAST — Sunday around 1:30 p.m a woman was arrested for being drunk in public and using vulgar and obscene language in the presence of children.
    ▲ LITTLE LOTTS CREEL APARTMENTS — A woman told police her daughter was struck by a juvenile male as she exited the school bus Tuesday afternoon. The woman did not make a report until around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday.
    ▲ RETRIEVERS BAR AND GRILL — Police received an estimate of damages Tuesday regarding a Feb. 22 incident where a patron threw a dart through a projection screen.
    ▲ EAGLE HEALTH AND REHABILITATION — Police met Tuesday around 3:30 p.m. with a complainant who said she was not receiving her Social Security payments.

    ▲ Christopher Okeh Abinna,18, South Main Street — sale of marijuana, unlawful use of communication facilities, marijuana possession with intent to distribute, possession/use of a drug related object.
    ▲ Mario Anthony Romano, 41, Live Oak Loop, Ellabell — simple battery.
    ▲ Joseph Daniel Smiddy, 41, Sagebrush Court, Savannah — probation violation.
    ▲ Latasha Shawanda Williams, 39, Willow Hill Road, Portal — DUI, open container.
    ▲ Jacee Bree Bozeman, 20, Lanier Drive — marijuana possession.
    ▲ Kenneth Steven Chapman, 21, Grent Street, Garden City — obstruction, simple battery on a law enforcement officer, giving false identity, seat belt violation disorderly conduct, wanted person, battery.

➤ Incidents
    ▲ STILSON-LEEFIELD ROAD — (Brooklet) Monday around 8:30 a.m., a man confronted another man who was threatening logging crew members. During the confrontation the offender reportedly pointed a gun at the complainant.
    ▲ GEORGIA HIGHWAY 119 — (Ellabell) Sometime between 8 a.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Monday, someone stole a utility trailer.
    ▲ WEST HAMPTON POINTE — (Statesboro) A man reported that between Jan. 7 and Feb. 8, someone stole an assortment of jewelry and pawned it in three separate transactions. The offender was identified in reports.
    ▲ WEST MOCKINGBIRD LANE — (Statesboro) A woman said from 8 a.m. to around 3 p.m. Saturday, her ex-husband threatened to harm their children and made comments in social  media stating she acted inappropriately with students.

GEORGIA STATE PATROL POST 45
    ▲ Tuesday, troopers issued one seat belt ticket, two speeding citations and five total citations. They stopped 30 vehicles, patrolled 105 miles, and issued 28 total warnings, 14 of which were for speeding.

    ▲ None reported.
 
➤ Incidents
    ▲ Officers issued one traffic citation, no traffic warnings and assisted seven motorists Tuesday.
