Police Report - September 23

Statesboro Police Arrests
    Any arrests made Friday and Saturday will be published Monday.
        
Bulloch Sheriff's Arrests
    Any arrests made Friday and Saturday will be published Monday.
    
Georgia State Patrol Arrests
    Any arrests made Friday and Saturday will be published Monday.
    
Georgia Southern University Arrests
    There were no reported arrests.
       
Statesboro Police Incidents
    STATESBORO MALL — A woman said someone keyed the passenger door of her car while she was in the mall.
    INSTITUTE STREET — A man, while dropping off an unidentified female, was hit in the face by an unknown assailant after he refused to give the offender some money. He refused EMS treatment.
    UNIVERSITY POINTE APARTMENTS — A man found his vehicle damaged. After a brief investigation, the offender was charged with public intoxication and arrested.
    FOXRIDGE APARTMENTS — Unknown individuals forced a juvenile male into a jeep and left the scene. The juvenile had not been located at the time of the report.
    HENRY STREET — A woman and her granddaughter got into a verbal argument because the granddaughter was not helping the grandmother, as agreed. The two were separated for the night.
    BELK — An unknown black male left with an unknown quantity of clothing in a Belk  shopping bag. Total value of items was unknown.
    WEST LAKE DRIVE — A man left for work early in the morning and came home to find his black Labrador missing. He looked for the dog, but could not find it.
    EAST JONES — At a road check, a female was found to be driving on a suspended license and was arrested.
             
Bulloch Sheriff's Incidents
    EAST GROVE ROAD — (Brooklet) A man came home from vacation with his family to find that someone had damaged his mailbox while he was away.
     SHADOW LANE — A woman called and said an offender had become physical with her during a domestic dispute. She then changed her story and said she fell in the back yard.
    LARK LANE EAGLE ESTATES — The victim came to the sheriff's office looking for assistance with retrieving some personal items. A deputy followed the victim to her residence to assist.
    MOORE ROAD — A woman said she had been receiving harassing phone calls from an unknown person.
    NEVILS DAISY ROAD — The woman said that she was renting a mobile home to two individuals and had asked them to move out. When they did, she said they left trash all over the place and took some item from the trailer.
                
Georgia State Patrol Incidents
    Incidents occurring Friday and Saturday will be published Monday.
    
Georgia Southern University Incidents
    There were no reported incidents.
    
Animal Shelter Reports
    The Statesboro-Bulloch County Animal Shelter reported the following activity for the week of Sept. 10-16:
    Animals received:
    Rural county areas, Bulloch Humane Enforcement — 10 dogs, one cat.
    Statesboro city limits, Bulloch Humane Enforcement — eight dogs.
    Surrendered by citizens — six dogs, nine cats.
    Number in litters surrendered — six puppies, 20 kittens.
    Animals out:
    Shelter adoptions — five dogs, two cats.
    Pets & People adoptions — four dogs, eight cats.
    Returned to owners — two dogs.
    Died at shelter — one cat.
    Euthanized from isolation floor — 10 dogs, 21 cats.
    Humane Enforcement calls:
    Snake complaint — one.
    Court summons/citations — nine.
    Warnings — 11.
    Money collected:
    Adoption fees — $665.
    Surrender fees — $60.
    Returned animal fines — $100.
    Donations — $37.
    Miscellaneous — $76.
