Emily Brooke Evans and Randy Lee Williams Jr. exchanged their wedding vows on Saturday, June 9, 2007, at six o’clock in the evening at Little Ogeechee Baptist Church in Oliver. Pastor Vernon Edenfield officiated the double-ring ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Grady Evans of Newington. She is the granddaughter of Marilyn Reddick of Sylvania and the late Lauree H. Evans of Newington. Honorary grandmother is Anne Long of Rocky Ford.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless gown of white chiffon with a sheer overlay. The fitted bodice was gathered to one side and decorated with iridescent sequins, crystal beads and seed pearls. Covered buttons in a single row adorned the chapel-length train.
For her hairpiece, she chose a double-tiered, fingertip veil of illusion accented with iridescent sequins and crystal beads. To accent her veil, Emily wore a comb encrusted with pearls and crystal beads. She carried a nosegay of cream and coral roses.
The bride chose her sister, Hilary Evans of Newington, as maid of honor. Erin O’Barr of Sylvania, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Allison Bragg and Christy McDonough of Sylvania and Alicia Campbell of Waxhaw, N.C., cousin of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Amanda Long of Sylvania, cousin of the bride. Brittany Turlington of Fletcher, N.C., cousin of the bride, served as flower maiden.
Program attendant was Morgan Turlington of Hardeeville, S.C.
The groom chose his father, Randy Lee Williams Sr. as best man. Groomsmen were Trent Evans of Evans, Ga., cousin of the bride; Scott Sapp and Ashley “Bear” Fields of Pooler and Rusty Lee of Sylvania, cousin of the groom. Ring bearer was Cody Girardeau of Oliver, nephew of the groom.
On June 8, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Beaver House Inn and Restaurant in Statesboro.
