Laura Christine Yeatts and Herbert Lehman Franklin III

    Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Yeatts Jr. of Macon, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Christine Yeatts, to Herbert Lehman Franklin III, son of Ms. Emma Louise Keaton Franklin and Mr. Herbert Lehman Franklin Jr. of Statesboro, Ga.
    The bride-elect is the maternal granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Archer Barton of Washington, D.C., and the paternal granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. Raymond Yeatts Sr. of Victoria, Va. She is the maternal great-granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Archer Barton of Green Bay, Va., and the paternal great-granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Jacob Yeatts of Portsmith, Va. Miss Yeatts attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., and is currently pursuing a life coach certification.
    The groom-elect is the maternal grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Peyton Howard Keaton Jr. of Colquitt, Ga., and the paternal grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Lehman Franklin Sr. of Statesboro. He is the maternal great-grandson of Dr. and Mrs. James Leslie Cheshire of Damascus, Ga., and Dr. and Mrs. Peyton Howard Keaton Sr. of Damascus and the maternal great-grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William Thomas McArthur Sr. of Ailey, Ga., and the paternal great-grandson of Mr. and Mrs. George Oscar Franklin Sr. of Pulaski, Ga.  Mr. Franklin graduated from The Citadel in Charleston, S.C., with a Bachelor of Science in business administration and received a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in international business from Georgia Southern University. He is employed at Franklin Automotive Group in Statesboro.
    The couple has planned to wed on May 10, 2014.
