    Judy Lynette Brock Simon and Jimmy Lee Spivey will be united as one on September 22, 2007, at 4 o’clock in the afternoon at the Original First African Baptist Church on Institute Street in Statesboro.
    The bride-elect is the daughter of Solomon Wilbert Brock and the late Ruby Dell Moore Brock. She is a 1967 graduate of William James High School and is a 1971 graduate of Morris Brown College in Atlanta. She is a retiree of General Motors Corporation In Chicago, Ill., with 30 years of service. Presently, she is employed by the Bulloch County Board of Education as a substitute teacher.
    The groom-elect is the son of the late Frank Spivey and the late Georgia Spivey Watson. He is a 1967 graduate of William James High School. He is retiree of WMATA Transit Authority in Washington, D.C. He is the former owner and operator of Spivey’s Landscaping Business in Alexandria, Va. He has also served as an associate minister of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Alexandria, Va. Presently, he is employed by the Bulloch County Board of Education as a substitute teacher.
    The reception will be held at Snella’s Place, 107 Allen Circle off of Highway 301 North in  Statesboro, immediately following the ceremony.
