Sunday is Retired Educators Day in Georgia

Sunday, November 3, 2013, has been proclaimed Retired Educators Day in Georgia by Governor Deal.

There are more than 97,000 retired educators in Georgia, many of whom are members of the Georgia Retired Educators Association as well as the local organization, Bulloch Retired Educators Association. These retired educators have made and continue to make invaluable contributions to their communities. Retired educators include professors, teachers, paraprofessionals, nurses, administrators, secretaries, bookkeepers, bus drivers, custodians, food service staff, technical support persons and others who have served their communities in an educational capacity.

Please take this opportunity to recognize these valuable members of our community in some way on this occasion.

Gwendolyn H. Yarbrough,

BREA President-Elect

Chairperson of Retired Educators Day
