Barrow to host ‘Congress on the Corner’ events

U.S. Rep. John Barrow, D-Ga., will host three “Congress on the Corner” town hall style meetings today in Bulloch, Toombs and Candler counties.
These meetings give Barrow a chance to visit with residents of the 12th Congressional District, hear their concerns about what’s going on in Congress, and provide help for those who are having problems with a federal agency.
“With so much going on in Washington, it’s important that folks share their thoughts and concerns about Congress,” Barrow said. “A lot of folks are fed up with what's going on in Washington, and rightfully so. I’m committed to being as accessible as possible to the people of the 12th District, and to provide help for anyone who needs it.”
The events are scheduled as follows:
➤ 10-11 a.m., Sugar Magnolia Bakery and Café, 106 Savannah Ave., Statesboro
➤ Noon-1 p.m., Toombs County Judicial Annex Courtroom, 302 First St. E., Vidalia
    ➤ 2-3 p.m., Bevricks, 1055 Fortner Road, Metter
