Police Report 10-15-13 - SOUTH COLLEGE STREET — Someone stole a Smith &Wesson .38-caliber handgun

▲ Leon Jamar Swinson, 24, Baldwin Street — suspended license, tag light violation.
▲ Jonathan Joseph Anderson, 26, Pamela Way — DUI (second offense — refused test).
▲ Angela Hardwick, 36, U.S. Highway 301 North — DUI drugs.
▲ Jeremy Josh Montague, 23, Lanier Drive — wanted person.
▲ Kennetta Renee Weathers, 38, Winding Way — failure to obey traffic device, driving without a license, giving false information.
▲ Preston Waits, 57, Roberts Street, Sylvania — wanted person.
▲ David C. Armstrong, 17, Bird Lane — possession of a pistol by a person under 18, marijuana possession, possession/use of a drug-related object, giving false information.
▲ Corrie Lee Jenkins, 61, South College Street — criminal trespass.
▲ Charles Anthony Smith Jr., 26, Carmel Drive — suspended license, following too closely.
▲ Sylvia Prinsha Abrams, 22, College Walk — driving without a license, tag light violation.
▲ Alton Jeremaine Burden, 39, Scott’s Creek Drive, Whigham — suspended license, suspended registration, windshield violation.

➤ Incidents
▲ ORIENT EXPRESS — Someone ordered food three times using different credit card numbers, and all transactions were reported as fraudulent. Charges were $72.40, $47.76 and $31.85.
▲ L&D PRODUCE — A man reported $132 worth of food items stolen in a burglary.
▲ RUSTY’S TAVERN — A man said a group of unknown men attacked him physically for no reason. A woman at the scene accused the complainant of having struck her in the face as she entered the business, but it was later determined he was not the one who struck her.
▲ EAGLE GATE APARTMENTS — A juvenile told police she was “spitting on turtles” when a friend, also a juvenile, shot her in the face with a BB gun. The offending child said she had been aiming above her friend’s head when her friend turned, and the BB struck her in the cheek.
▲ UNIVERSITY PINES — A man was arrested on outstanding warrants after his girlfriend reported a domestic argument between the two.
▲ SOUTH COLLEGE STREET — Someone stole a Smith &Wesson .38-caliber handgun from a car.
▲ THE DOLLAR TREE — A woman walked away from her shopping cart and returned to find a wallet with $45 cash and keys had been taken.
Another woman reported leaving her key ring on the counter, where it was stolen.
▲ MIKE ANN DRIVE — Three victims told police they were outside talking when a dark-colored car with unknown men inside stopped. One man exited the car and struck one male victim, then threw a female to the ground when she tried to intervene. When a second male victim became involved, a second male offender exited the car and began striking him in the face.
▲ JOHN’S PLACE — A woman reported being raped, but signed a waiver of prosecution.
▲ GARDEN DISTRICT APARTMENTS — A woman said her ex-boyfriend choked her during an argument.
▲ SUMMIT APARTMENTS — On two separate occasions, two different men reported suspicious activity. Reports did not give details regarding the incidents.
▲ SANDY WAY — A man reported someone took undisclosed items from a vehicle.
▲ RUM RUNNERS — Police responded to a fight between several men.
▲ HARVEY’S/FAIR ROAD — A man and woman argued over a child’s birthday, and he left her stranded at the  grocery store.
▲ EAGLE INN — A man said he and his girlfriend argued because she used his name in obtaining some items without his permission. She threw a can of food at him, striking him, he said.
