        Farmers & Merchants Bank recently announced the promotion of three employees.
Dwayne Rocker was promoted to executive vice president/chief financial officer; Anna Swicord to executive vice president/ chief lending officer; and, Trish Tootle to senior vice president/Public Relations & Marketing.
         "We are pleased to announce these well deserved promotions," said Brett Morgan, president and CEO of FMB. "Dwayne, Anna and Trish are all valuable assets to this bank and also to the community."
        Rocker has been in the banking business for more than 27 years, the last 12 with FMB. He is active in the Downtown Rotary Club and a member of the First Baptist Church of Statesboro, where he currently serves as a trustee, chair of the finance committee and is a volunteer with the church's media broadcast ministry
         Rocker holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Science from Georgia Tech and a Master of Business Administration from Georgia Southern University. He is a native of Hinesville and is married to the former Dr. Karla Qualls, who is on the music faculty at Georgia Southern.
        Swicord joined FMB in 2006 as senior vice president. She served as the chief lending officer and senior executive officer prior this promotion. Her banking career has spanned almost 30 years, beginning in Savannah as a branch manager and bank officer. The majority of her banking career has been spent in Bulloch County. She attended Georgia Southern University and holds certifications from Capstone Mortgage Institute and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
        Swicord is well known in the community for her many civic and charitable activities. She served as chairman of the Hospital Authority of Bulloch County, chairman of the Statesboro Bulloch County Chamber of Commerce, a board member of the Coastal Area District Development Authority, Statesboro Arts Council, Statesboro Mall Association, the executive committee of United Way, Statesboro High All Booster Club, president of the Ogeechee Technical Foundation, STAR district coordinator, National Kidney Foundation district committee chair, Altrusan of the Year; a Paul Harris Fellow and recipient of the Deen Day Smith award. She is married to W. Harry Swicord and has one son Shawn Corbett (Liz) and three grandchildren, McKenney, Michael and Grace Ann.
        Tootle has been with FMB for 26 years. Her entire banking career has been spent with the bank. She has served in almost every position, starting as a teller and bookkeeper, advancing through the ranks to the position she held prior to this promotion, vice president/retail banking manager.
        Tootle is a community supporter, active in many civic and charitable organizations. Her long list of involvement includes vice president Statesboro Kiwanis; president of the Ogeechee Area Hospice; Averitt Center board of directors; and, director of Vacation Bible School for the Ogeechee River Baptist Association. Her current and past involvement includes Statesboro-Bulloch County Chamber of Commerce, United Way, American Diabetes, American Red Cross, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society Relay for Life, American Business Women's Association and, the Hearts and Hands Clinic. Tootle is a member of the Emit Grove Baptist Church where she serves as the children's director. She was the 2013 recipient of the Deen Day Smith award and was named the Statesboro Herald's Humanitarian of the Year for 2013.
        She is a native of Evans County and has two sons, Matthew (wife Talette) and Clint and one grandson, Athan.
