Lauren Elizabeth Williams and Kurt Malcolm Ehlers

    Mr. and Mrs. James Richard Williams IV of Savannah, Ga., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Elizabeth, to Kurt Malcolm Ehlers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Kurt Ehlers of Atlanta, Ga.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Ray Sanders of Warner Robins, Ga., and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Richard Williams III of Brooklet, Ga. Miss Williams is an honor graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School and a graduate of Georgia Southern University, where she was a member of the Delta Lambda Chapter of Kappa Delta Sorority and earned a Bachelor of Science in education, Master of Education and education specialist degree. In addition, Miss Williams is a graduate of the Professional Association of Georgia Educators Teacher Academy. She is currently employed as a fourth-grade teacher at Burnette Elementary School in Gwinnett County, Ga.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Ms. Emmy Ehlers and the late Mr. Kurt O. Ehlers of Eugene, Ore., and the late Mr. Malcolm Ellis and the late Mrs. Maude H. Cooper. Mr. Ehlers is a graduate of Sprague High School. After serving four years in the United States Navy and graduating from the Navy’s Nuclear Power Program, he continued his education at the University of Maryland, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in finance. Mr. Ehlers serves as public relations chairman of the Atlanta Chapter of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers. He is currently employed by James M. Pleasants Company of Atlanta, Ga., as a sales engineer.
    A late October wedding in Savannah, Ga., is planned.
