Police looking into two shooting incidents at Foxridge

Statesboro Police are investigating two recent incidents where someone reported shots fired at Foxridge Apartments.

Wednesday around 12:20 a.m., officers met with a male victim at the Statesboro Police Department who said another man "shot at him while he was in the Foxridge Apartment Complex" on Packinghouse Road, said Chief Stan York.

The victim said Grady Antonio Lipsey Jr., age and address unavailable, "shot out the rear passenger side door window of his vehicle," but that he had not been injured in the shooting, York said.

The case was turned over to the Statesboro Police Criminal Investigations Division and Det. Sgt. James Winskey began an investigation that led to warrants being taken out for Lipsey, he said.

Police are still seeking Lipsey and ask that anyone with information regarding the shooting incident Wednesday, or with information regarding Lipsey's whereabouts, call the police department.

Winskey is also investigating another shooting incident reported at Foxridge Apartments Sunday.

Officers responding to a call regarding shots fired stopped a gray Nissan truck leaving the complex, and questioned three males and a female inside.

The occupants told officers they were trying to leave the area because a man shot at them. Winskey said Monday warrants were being taken out for the suspect, identified in police incident reports as Stacy Beasley, address unknown. Winskey said the suspect is in his 20's.

Officers did not locate Beasley at the scene, and no one was injured in the incident, reports stated.

Anyone with any information regarding either shooting incident is asked to call the Statesboro Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at 764-1542 or 764-9911, York said.
