Police Report - August 28

Note: All information included in this report is taken from law enforcement incident reports and arrest records, which are public records and available for review at any and all local law enforcement agencies.  Not every arrest leads to a conviction. Statesboro Police Arrests          

             Janleah Connell, 38, Coley Boyd Road — felony theft by shoplifting, criminal trespass.

            Matthew Lawrence Ellgass, 25, Greenwood Avenue — affray.

            Frank Anthony Uzzolino IV, 24, Gentilly Drive — affray.

            Ashley S. Boynton, 17, North Racetrack Road, Swainsboro — theft by shoplifting.

            Lonnie Tyron Taylor, 33, Clifton Road — criminal trespass.


Bulloch Sheriff's Arrests           

            Christopher Washington, 47, Beaver Creek Drive — probation violation.

            Tammi Laure Henderson, 40, Mill Creek Lodge — aggravated assault.

             Cavin McMillan, 26, Packinghouse Road — no tag, driving with a suspended or revoked license.

            Christopher Junior Powell, 26, West Waters Road — bench warrant.

            Christopher Gavin McMillan, 22, Jarrell Pond Road, Sylvania — criminal trespass, simple battery (family violence), battery (family violence), bench warrant, DUI, speeding (96 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone), open container.

            Brent Leslie Belcher, 21, Roundtree Street, Portal — no proof of insurance, tail light requirements violation.

            Thomas Edward Wells, 29, Wolble Street, Claxton — driving with a suspended or revoked license, headlights violation.

            Chad Robert Osterlund, 23, Donaldson Street — DUI, driving too fast for conditions.

            William Benjamin Anglyn, 18, Kennedy Hall, Georgia Southern University — public intoxication.


Georgia State Patrol Arrests

            Oscar Chavez, 23, College Street, Metter — DUI (.135).

            Donald Parrish, 24, Brooklet-Leefield Road — DUI (.132).

            Troopers issued 35 traffic violation citations Sunday.


Georgia Southern University Arrests

            Edwin Garrett Lovin, 18,  Johnson Hall — underage possession/consumption of alcohol.

   Officers issued two traffic citations Saturday.

            Andrew Jackson, 46, Holloway Lane, Register — driving with a suspended license and no proof of insurance.

            Brandon King, 18, Eagle Village — underage possession/consumption of alcohol.

             Gregory Thomas Salisbury, 18,  Eagle Village — possession of marijuana.


Statesboro Police Incidents      

            WAL-MART — A woman whom police said stole a box of diet pills was charged with felony shoplifting because of her past shoplifting record.

            DOS PRIMOS — An officer saw three men fighting on the porch and placed them under arrest.

            COLLEGE PARK UNIVERSITY PINES — Officers cited three men or underage drinking.

            FOXRIDGE APARTMENTS — A man said six men tried to fight him and kicked his car, denting it.

            In a separate incident, police responding to reports of shots fired spoke with three men and a woman in a gray  truck who said a man they knew fired shots at them. Police did not find the offender.

            BUTLER HOMES — A man told police his brother borrowed his truck and won't return it. He has seen his brother driving it around but could not catch him, he said.         

            MADISON MEADOWS — A complainant said a man named Tony took two brown and white red-nose pit bulldog puppies.

            BELK — A woman was caught taking four pieces of children's clothing without paying.

            RAYMOND STREET — Detectives are investigating an incident involving a man transported to the hospital who was pronounced dead upon arrival.

            GEORGIA VILLAS — A woman said her child's father forced his way into the home, damaging a door frame.

            AZALEA TERRACE — A  woman said her boyfriend struck her in the mouth during an argument over friends. The man denied doing so and said it was she who hit him.


Bulloch Sheriff's Incidents        

            STEWART ROAD — (Portal) A woman told deputies her daughter left and went with her grandmother without permission.


Georgia State Patrol Incidents  

            Troopers issued 33 warnings, assisted two motorists and investigated five crashes with four reported injuries Sunday.


Georgia Southern University Incidents

            KENNEDY HALL — Someone issued a complaint about loud noise. In a separate incident, someone reported being harassed.

            EAGLE VILLAGE — Someone reported a wallet was taken.

            RECREATION ACTIVITY CENTER — Another person said a wallet was taken.

            BRANNEN HALL — Someone issued a drug complaint

            ALUMNI HOUSE — A window was broken.

            FRIDAY —  Officers issued four traffic warnings, investigated two traffic accidents and assisted 12 motorists.

            SATURDAY — Officers issued six traffic warnings and assisted one motorist.

            SUNDAY — Officers investigated one traffic accident, assisted three motorists and responded to one alarm.    


911  Law Enforcement Reports

            Central 911 operators dispatched the following calls Sunday:

            Bulloch County Sheriff's Department — 13 calls.

            Statesboro Police Department — 12 calls.

            Georgia State Patrol Post 45 — six calls.

            Candler County Sheriff's Department — three calls.

            Evans County Sheriff's Department — two calls.


911 Fire Department Reports

            Central 911 operators dispatched the following calls Sunday:

            Statesboro Fire Department — five calls.

            Bulloch County volunteer firefighters — two calls.

            Metter Fire Department — one call.


911 EMS Reports

            Central 911 operators dispatched the following call Sunday:

            Bulloch County EMS — three accident calls, two rescue calls and 13 medical calls.  

            Candler County EMS — one accident call and two medical calls. 

            Evans County EMS — three medical calls.   

            Central 911 operators also routed  six calls to Bulloch County First Responders .
