Statesboro Imaging Center today announced that Kelly Morris has completed the certification requirements of the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), and is now certified in Nuclear Medicine.

Dr. Don Connell, president of Statesboro Imaging Center, said, “Kelly has previously attained registered status from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology. Board certification in Nuclear Medicine requires 4 full-time years of experience, or 8000 clinical hours, and successful completion of a comprehensive certification examination.”

Dr. Connell further stated that, “Achieving this level of certification in the healthcare industry is quite an accomplishment. Kelly is a very significant part of Statesboro Imaging Center, and her continued commitment to improving the quality of healthcare makes her an asset to all of Statesboro, Bulloch County, and the surrounding area.”

Morris has been a Radiologic Technologist since March 1998. She is now pursuing a Nuclear Cardiology Certification, as well as her Bachelor’s degree.  According to the American College of Radiology (ACR), Nuclear Medicine is a healthcare specialty involving the use of radioactive compounds to perform diagnostic imaging examinations that can lead to the effective treatment of many diseases.
