Police Report 8-13-13 - LOVETT STREET — A Smith & Wesson revolver was stolen from a vehicle.

▲ PARKER’S ENZONE — A disgruntled employee, angry over being fired, caused a scene and made verbal threats.
▲ GREENBRIAR APARTMENTS — A woman told police a man stole her purse and fled the home.
▲ COLLEGE WALK APARTMENTS — A man reported the theft of a chainsaw.
In a separate incident, a woman said another woman stole pills from her car and then took them, causing her to need hospital treatment.
▲ RUDE RUDY’S — A man was caught on video taking a woman’s purse she had left behind.
▲ WILDWOOD VILLAS — After an argument with a woman, a man shattered her car window with his fist and went inside to break a glass table over his own head.
▲ RUCKER LANE — A woman said a man choked her, pulled her shirt and kicked her in the face.
▲ FOXRIDGE APARTMENTS — A woman said that after an argument with her children’s father, she found a fist-sized hole in an apartment wall.
▲ LOVETT STREET — A Smith & Wesson revolver was stolen from a vehicle.
▲ ST. CHARLES PLACE — A man and woman argued over drug use and relationship issues.
▲ DONNIE SIMMONS WAY — Two men fought each other, causing visible injuries.
▲ FAST N EASY — A woman said she struck a man in the face with her open hand, holding keys, because he was rude to her. He suffered visible injuries.
▲ THE LODGE APARTMENTS — A woman said she and her father argued after she spoke “romantically” to one of his friends.

▲ OGEECHEE CROSSING — (Statesboro) A man reported the theft of an air conditioner unit.
▲ GEORGIA HIGHWAY 119 — (Ellabell) A man and woman argued because she wanted to know who he was talking to by phone.
▲ CLYDE’S MARKET/U.S. HIGHWAY 301 NORTH — Two intoxicated men parked next to the air pump were arrested for methamphetamine possession.
▲ OWENS ROAD — (Statesboro) A man reported the theft of a Taurus Judge firearm from his vehicle while at a party.
▲ TIMBERLAND POINTE — (Statesboro) A woman told deputies she was jumped by unknown persons, then changed her story to having been struck by a vehicle. She then said neighbors were harassing her about her dog. She was very intoxicated, according to reports. She showed no injuries, deputies said.
▲ ROCKY FORD ROAD — (Garfield) A man reported the theft of a chainsaw from his truck.
▲ U.S. HIGHWAY 80 WEST — (Portal) A man reported the theft of extension ladders, scaffolding and a “Mason Worshipable Master Jewel” from his vehicle.
▲ WOLFPEN LANE — (Statesboro) A woman reported the theft of a Jimenez 9 mm pistol from her home.
▲ BROOMSTRAW TRACE — (Ellabell) A representative from Excelsior EMC reported that a man stole electric service after his power had been cut off.

▲ Jerry Kyle Aldrich, 19, Josh Smith Road — DUI under 21 (0.17).
▲ Between Friday and Sunday, troopers issued one seat belt citation and 11 speeding citations.

➤  Incidents
▲ Between Friday and Sunday, troopers investigated 14 crashes with five reported injuries; stopped 53 vehicles, patrolled 1,904 miles, issued three seatbelt warnings, 20 speeding warnings and assisted two motorists.

GEORGIA SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY POLICE
➤ Arrests
▲ Officers issued eight traffic citations Friday through Sunday.
▲ Stephen Kolby Giles, 21, Choctaw Hunt —  failure to stop at a stop sign, operation of vehicle with revalidation decal on license plate, possession of marijuana, DUI (drugs) and possession of drug-related objects. 
 
➤ Incidents
▲ Between Friday and Sunday, officers issued 16 traffic warnings and assisted eight motorists.
▲ CAMPUS CROSSING/LANIER DRIVE — Officers observed two dirt bike style motorcycles driving recklessly, but no contact was made with the motorcycles.  
▲ KENNEDY HALL — Officers responded to a drug complaint. Two occupants were judicially referred to school officials.
