Parker's CEO responds to zoning issue

I was quite concerned upon reading Jeff Harrison's August 8 article, "Council undecided on new Parker's," which discussed the proposed re-zoning of property along Fair Road in Statesboro.

Parker's is interested in building our convenience stores in the best locations for your community. We want to provide a win-win for the City of Statesboro and for our customers.

Please understand that attorney Laura Marsh, who is quoted in the article as speaking on behalf of the zoning applicants, does not represent Parker's. She represents the property owners and the Realtor.

I'm proud to operate two Parker's locations in Statesboro and am delighted to help lower gas prices throughout Bulloch County. We want to be a good neighbor and look forward to being a contributing community partner for many years to come.
