Barton-Pippin

    Mr. and Mrs. Stuart E. Barton III of Demorest, formerly of Statesboro, announce the engagement of their daughter, Laurie Lynn of Macon, to Stuart Lee Pippin of Forsyth, son of Janice Pippin and the late James Pippin of Forsyth.
    Miss Barton is the granddaughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. William Holderman of Avondale Estates and the late Mr. and Mrs. Stuart E. Barton Jr. of Decatur. She is a 1998 graduate of Statesboro High School and a 2002 graduate of The University of Georgia with a bachelor of science in family and consumer sciences. She is employed as a legislative aide to State Senator Cecil Staton of Macon.
    Mr. Pippin is the grandson of Effie Vedder Pippin and the late John Ed Pippin of Forsyth and Lucy Holcomb Yawn and the late Carlton Coolidge Yawn of Vidalia. He is a 1994 graduate of Monroe Academy in Forsyth and attended Mercer University. He graduated from the Georgia Banking School in 2006 and is employed as a branch manager with Atlantic Southern Bank in Macon.
    The wedding is planned for Saturday, October 20, 2007, at 2:00 in the afternoon at First Presbyterian Church in Macon.
