Police Report - August 14

            Note: All information included in this report is taken from law enforcement incident reports and arrest records, which are public records and available for review at any and all local law enforcement agencies.  Not every arrest leads to a conviction. Guilt or innocence is determined by the court system.

 

Statesboro Police Arrests

            Bradley Clark Bonner, 26, East Main Street — leaving the scene of an accident, hit and run, DUI, obstruction, following too closely.

            James Davis, 40, Stacy Avenue, Newington — wanted person.

            David Wayne Lanier, 43, South Main Street — wanted person.

             

Bulloch Sheriff's Arrests

            Terry Dewayne Raymond, 39, North College Street — probation violation.

            Justin Keith Taylor, 25, Church Street — littering, reckless, driving while license suspended or revoked,marijuana possession with intent to distribute, parole violation.

            Randy Byrd, 47, Reedy Branch Road — bench warrant.

            Justin Randall Moon, 19, Sinkhole Road — fleeing/attempting to elude, speeding (90 in a 55 mph zone), reckless driving, obstruction of an officer, open container, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, public intoxication, DUI under 21, driving with a suspended license.

            Rebecca Sue Lanier, 34, Brooklet-Denmark Road, Brooklet — suspended registration, no insurance, seat belt violation.

            Kimbrough Brit Folds, 31, Solomon Street, Swainsboro — suspended registration, driving with a suspended license.

            Dennis Michael Rose, 21, N. Grove Boulevard, Kingsland — DUI, failure to maintain lane.

            Samantha Ann Alger, 20, Stormy Lane, N. Kingston, RI — underage possession of alcohol by consumption.

            Samantha Aralyn Coker, 18, Chandler Road — marijuana possession, expired tag, no insurance.

            Jessie Banner Jr., Charleston Street, Valdosta — probation violation.

            Roberto Martinez Perez, 19, Country Lakes Estates — no driver's license, failure to maintain lane, failure to yield when entering roadway.

            Ocesel Allan Salazar, 26, Pecan Grove Mobile Home Park, Portal — probation violation, DUI, open container.

            Willie James Brown, 26, Old Register Road — improper backing, driving with a suspended license, expired tag, DUI.

            Calvin Latrell Jones, 32, High Street, Metter — aggravated assault, entering auto, possession of a knife during the commission of a crime, armed robbery, public intoxication.

            Michael Joseph Mallard, 38, Clito Road — cruelty to children.

            Regina Yvette Marshall, 33, Johnson Street — disorderly conduct.

            Lee Matthew Sapp, 32, Wolfpen Lane — simple battery (domestic violence).

           

Portal Police Department

            Johnny Ray Woods,  47,Railroad Street, Portal  — public intoxication, criminal trespass, public indecency, bench warrant.

           

Georgia State Patrol Arrests

            Troopers issued 30 traffic violation citations Sunday.

                         

Georgia Southern University Arrests

           

             Timothy J. Przedpelski, 18, Wolfs Bane Drive, Acworth — underage possession/consumption of alcohol and public indecency.

             Bryce R. Homier, 18,  Grandview Drive, Albany —  DUI, possession of marijuana, and driving the wrong way on a one-way street.

             FRIDAY — Officers issued three traffic citations.

             SATURDAY — Officers issued five traffic citations. 

             SUNDAY — Officers issued four traffic citations.

             

Statesboro Police Incidents

            NOTE: An incident reported in Sunday's Statesboro Herald regarding a fight between two women occurred outside of Love's Day Care, in the parking lot, and did not involve employees or owners of the day care facility.

            SOUTH ZETTEROWER AVENUE — A man struck another car and fled, but the other driver followed him and called police. Police found the man near an East Main Street residence, where the suspect fled up stairs and into an apartment. He refused to answer the door, but officers and EMS personnel entered the home and arrested him.

            In a separate incident, a woman told police someone threw a stick through her window.

            EAST GEORGIA REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER — A woman reported $229 stolen from her room, and told police she suspected her boyfriend. Later she told officers she did not wish to prosecute because he had taken the money to pay her bills.

            PLAYERS CLUB APARTMENTS — Officers destroyed suspected marijuana found at the location.

            GREENWOOD AVENUE — A woman said another female struck her juvenile granddaughter in the head with her fist.

            SOUTH MAIN STREET — A man was arrested for wanted person after police responded to a reported verbal dispute.

            GARDEN DISTRICT APARTMENTS — A woman said her ex-boyfriend called her and texted messages more than 50 times, and also went to her work place and friend's house looking for her after being told not to contact her.

                                               

Bulloch Sheriff's Incidents

            No incident reports available.

                                                           

Georgia State Patrol Incidents

            Troopers issued 38 warnings, assisted four motorists, and investigated three crashes with four reported injuries Sunday.

                         

Georgia Southern University Incidents

            FRIDAY —  Officers issued three traffic warnings and assisted seven motorists and one sick person.

             UNIVERSITY STORE — Someone reported a disturbance.

            SOUTHERN COURTYARD — Someone reported a laptop computer was taken.

            SATURDAY — Officers issued three traffic warnings, assisted seven motorists and responded to two alarms.

            KENNEDY HALL — Someone reported a bike was taken.

            SUNDAY —  Officers issued  five traffic warnings, assisted four motorists and responded to one alarm.

           

911  Law Enforcement Reports

            Central 911 operators dispatched the following calls Sunday:

            Bulloch County Sheriff's Department — 14 calls.

             Statesboro Police Department —  18 calls.

            Georgia State Patrol Post 45 —  four calls.

            Brooklet Police — two calls.

            Candler County Sheriff's Department —  nine calls.

            Evans County Sheriff's Department —  five calls.

             

911 Fire Department Reports

            Central 911 operators dispatched the following calls Sunday:

            Statesboro Fire Department —  three calls.

            Metter Fire Department —  two calls.

            Metter Rescue Unit —  one call.

            Claxton Fire Department — calls.

                                   

911 EMS Reports

            Central 911 operators dispatched the following calls Sunday:

            Bulloch County EMS —  one accident call and 18 medical calls. 

            Candler County EMS —   one fire call and seven medical calls.

            Evans County EMS —  four medical calls.  

            Operators also routed the following calls Sunday: a call to Bulloch County First Responders, a call to the Evans County coroner, and a call to Wayne County 911.
