Police Report - 5-26-13; Euthanized at animal shelter this week - nine dogs and 14 cats.

ARRESTS
➤ Statesboro Police, Bulloch County Sheriff, Georgia Southern University and Georgia State Patrol arrests made Friday through Sunday will be reported Tuesday.

➤ Statesboro Police
    ▲ Jose Carmen Alonso, 31, Fairfield Drive, Whiteville, N.C. — wanted person.
    ▲ Christy Renea Greenwood, 36, Magnolia Road, Reidsville — theft by shoplifting.
    ▲ Quentin Lashawn Lanier, 23, Church Street — wanted person, probation violation.
    ▲ Joshua Odale Smith, 22, Hilltonia Road, Millen — wanted person, loitering/prowling, obstruction, giving false information.

INCIDENTS
➤ Statesboro Police, Bulloch County Sheriff, Georgia Southern University, and Georgia State Patrol incidents occurring Friday through Sunday will be reported Tuesday.

➤ Statesboro Police
    ▲ GNAT’S LANDING — Police questioned two men who had reportedly been acting unruly and intoxicated. One suffered visible injuries and said he had been attacked, but did not know who had attacked him. Another was found to have outstanding warrants from Chatham County and was arrested.
    ▲ WALMART — A woman and a juvenile stole $171 worth of clothing and a 12-ounce container of orange juice.
    ▲ BELK — A juvenile placed two pairs of swim trunks in a bag and tried to leave without paying.
    ▲ MORRIS HEIGHTS APARTMENTS — A man fled from an officer on patrol, and when caught, gave a false name. The officer discovered he was wanted by Jenkins County State Court.
    ▲ MCALISTER’S DELI — An employee entered the business after hours and stole $1,391 from a safe.

➤ Bulloch County Animal Shelter
    ▲ The shelter reported the following activity during the week of May 13-19:
    ▲ Surrendered by citizens — 14 dogs and 10 cats from rural county areas.
    ▲ Collected by officers — eight dogs and two cats from rural county areas; two dogs and five cats from City of Statesboro.
    ▲ Adopted from shelter — one dog.
    ▲ Reclaimed by owners — one dog.
    ▲ Died at shelter — one dog and 11 cats.
    ▲ Euthanized — nine dogs and 14 cats.
    ▲ Fees collected - $190.
