Police Report - 5-12-13; Euthanized at animal shelter this week - eight dogs and 14 cats.

ARRESTS
➤ Statesboro Police, Bulloch County Sheriff, Georgia Southern University, and Georgia State Patrol arrests made Friday through Sunday will be reported Tuesday.

➤ Statesboro Police
    ▲ Thomas Bonaparte Jr., 24, Robin Hood Trail – marijuana possession.
    ▲ Datrelle Lamar Bonaparte, 22, Robin Hood Trail – marijuana possession.
    ▲ Mychal Deondre Smith, 24, Robin Hood Trail – marijuana possession.

INCIDENTS
➤ Statesboro Police, Bulloch County Sheriff, Georgia Southern University, and Georgia State Patrol incidents occurring Friday through Sunday will be reported Tuesday.

➤ Statesboro Police
    ▲ BI-LO – Two people passed fictitious checks appearing to be from Ruby Tuesday. The case is being investigated.
    ▲ THE AVENUE AT SOUTHERN – A woman reported a TV and laptop computer stolen.
    ▲ GENTILLY DRIVE – A book bag, ear buds and remote were stolen from a man’s driveway.
    ▲ CHURCH STREET – An officer noted a structure with the front door boarded up and the grass at least four feet tall. The back door to the structure had been forced open and he found “empty alcoholic beverage (bottles), piles of burned trash on the floors, used prophylactics and drug paraphernalia inside of the structure.” He reported the findings to city code enforcement.

➤ Bulloch County Animal Shelter
    ▲ The shelter reported the following activity during the week of April 20 to May 5:
    ▲ Surrendered by citizens – eight dogs and four cats from rural county areas; one dog and seven cats from City of Statesboro.
    ▲ Collected by officers – 12 dogs and three cats from rural county areas; two dogs and nine cats from City of Statesboro.
    ▲ Adopted from shelter – five dogs and a cat.
    ▲ Reclaimed by owners – four dogs.
    ▲ Died at shelter – three dogs and five cats.
    ▲ Euthanized – eight dogs and 14 cats.
Fees collected - $550.
