A trail ride to benefit the American Heart Association will be held Saturday in Claxton Saturday.
Horsin' Around Trail Rides will host the 10-mile ride, which starts at 9:30 a.m. After lunch, riders will set out again at 3 p.m., organizer Donna Parker said. Lunch and an auction will take place between 1 and 3 p.m.
The cost is $15 per rider and does not include lunch.
“There will be a lunch vendor there with reasonable prices, serving hot dogs, sausage dogs, hamburgers and more,” she said.
An auction with assorted items donated by Anderson's General Store, Uniquely Equine, Bar H Equine, Crafts By Randi, Cowgirl Tuff company and more will take place as well.
“There will be delicious cakes up for auction as well,” Parker said.
Vendors, including Pink Zebra – Bows and More will be on location, offering an assortment of items.
Also, Adams Equine Dental will do a demonstration and provide dental work for horses in need of the services.
“You don't have to have a horse to come out and have a good time and show your support for the American Heart Association,” Parker said. The starting point for the ride is 2090 Tellie Akins Road in Claxton.
