Both teams to face top seeds in SoCon tourneys Saturday

Georgia Southern’s basketball teams have advanced in the Southern Conference tournaments in Asheville, N.C.

On the men’s side, the ninth-seeded Eagles beat the eighth-seeded Wofford Terriers, 60-44, at the Asheville Civic Center.

Georgia Southern will face the top seed, Davidson, at noon Saturday.

The eighth-seeded Georgia Southern women beat Western Carolina, the ninth seed, 68-51 in Kimmel Arena.

The Eagles will take on the top seed, Chattanooga, at noon Saturday.
