Vehicle overturns; occupants flee

Police: Vehicle returned to owner, but men still at large

A vehicle that overturned, and from which two men ran Saturday morning, has been returned to its owner, Statesboro police said Saturday afternoon.

In a Nixle alert issued at 3:21 p.m., police said the vehicle had been stolen but had been returned to its owner after the incident earlier in the day.

The vehicle overturned Saturday morning on Gentilly Road near Fair Road, and a white male and black male ran from the scene, according to an alert issued at 10:17 a.m.

The men were still at large as of Saturday afternoon.

No further information was immediately available.
