A 3-year-old Brooklet girl survived a vehicle crash in Savannah that left her parents dead.
    A pickup truck “crossed a median and rolled over into a car on Interstate 516” Friday around 2:16 p.m., said Julian Miller, the public affairs administrator with the Savannah-Chatham County Metropolitan Police Department.
    Trever Chase Cannon, 22, of Bloomingdale, the driver of the pickup truck, was listed in serious but stable condition, Miller said.
    Stephen Carroll Joyner, 29, and his wife, Camie Barnes Joyner, 31, both of Brooklet, died at the scene of the crash.
    “Their daughter, Dakota Joyner, 3, was listed in stable condition after being transported to Memorial University Medical Center for treatment of injuries she received in the crash,” he said.
    According to the couple’s obituaries, Camie Joyner was expecting the couple’s second child.
    Another man injured was Irven Williams, 47, a motorcyclist who “laid his cycle down to avoid the overturning pickup truck,” Miller said.
    Williams was treated at the hospital for injuries he received from the fall, he said.
    According to reports from the Major Accident Investigation Team officers from Savannah-Chatham Metro Police, Cannon was “driving eastbound at a high rate of speed and lost control of the blue 2002 Ford F-250 pickup. The truck entered the median and overturned, rolling over the motorcycle and crashing into a westbound silver 2004 Toyota Rav4 carrying the family.”
     The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending, Miller said.
