Span-Armond

    Johnny “Pat” Span and Eddie and Betty Murphy of Statesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Katasha L. Span of Statesboro, to Melvin E. Armond Jr. of Statesboro, son of Melvin E. Armond Sr. and Gloria Armond of Savannah.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late John Walter “J.W.” and Annie Johnson of Statesboro and the late Hamp and Mildred Span of Hollywood, Fla., and Joseph and Jimmie Robbins of Jackson, Miss. Katasha is a graduate of Pemberton High School in Pemberton, N.J., and is employed as a home health care provider.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Dorothy Walker of Savannah and Mr. and Mrs. Walter “Bubba Lee” Young of Brunswick. He is a graduate of Windsor Forest High School in Savannah and is employed with Viracon in Statesboro.
    The wedding is planned for Saturday, August 25, 2007, at 2 p.m. at the Body of Christ Assembly Inc.
    No local invitations are being sent. All friends and relatives are invited to attend.
