Registration open for Crawl, Walk or Run

Georgia Southern University and the Division of Military Affairs announce that online registration has begun for the fourth annual Crawl, Walk or Run 5K/10K.
The April 20 race at Georgia Southern includes a 5K and a 10K. The Kids Run (ages 14 and younger) is $10. The Adult Race is $20 until April 13, then $30 through April 19. Race day registration is $40. Individuals can only register for one race category, and a waiver must be completed to participate. Registration includes a take-home bag, T-shirt, water and snacks during the race, a potential award and free admission to the Pre-Race Pasta Party.
The Pre-Race Pasta Party is Friday, April 19 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Nessmith-Lane Conference Center Ballroom. The event is hosted by Georgia Southern’s student-run radio station, 91.9 The Buzz, and will feature a variety of vendors, raffles, entertainment and a free meal prepared by Eagle Dining services. The races benefit several military programs, including the Wounded Warrior Project and Snacks for Soldiers. Support from Georgia Southern and the surrounding communities has allowed the ROTC to send more than 5,000 snacks to military members serving in Afghanistan.
Volunteer and sponsorship opportunities are still available. To register for the race or get more information, visit http://ceps.georgiasouthern.edu/supportforsoldiersrace.html.
Organizers of the Crawl, Walk, or Run 5K/10K Race would like to thank the following organizations and businesses for their support: Georgia National Guard, title sponsor; and The Forum, co-title sponsor. The race’s 2013 large sponsors are: ProTrain, Navy Federal Credit Union, United States Army Cadet Command, GSU Parents and Family Association, Gray’s Bookstore, Walmart, United States Air Force, Imprint Warehouse, CRI, Northland Cable, Play Hard Timing, WTOC, Bellajay Photography and Rainey Photography.
