Splash hosting Swim-A-Thon
The Statesboro Bulloch County Sharks swim team is hosting the Swim-A-Thon, an annual fundraiser hosted by the Statesboro Bulloch County Sharks swim team, on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
The event follows the Valentine's Day theme of "Swin your heart out."
The goal of the fundraiser is to raise money for the team to purchase team uniforms, tents for meets, equipment, incentives, and rewards. Once the swimmers set a lap goal for themselves they must find sponsors to either pledge a certain amount per lap they swim or to contribute a set amount not dependent on the number of laps swam. Swimmers are encouraged to find 10 sponsors each to reach the goal. All swimmers must have a volunteer present to count their laps.
Anyone looking to put a pledge forth or contribute to the Sharks Swim Team or would like more information about our swim team can contact Jenna Campbell, Aquatics Program Supervisor, at (912) 489-3000.
