Police Report 1-19-13 — A man and woman tried getting refunds for items removed from Walmart shelves

STATESBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT
➤ Arrests
    ▲ Robert Kyle Blackburn, 22, Hart Lane — possession of a schedule II controlled substance, simple battery, obstructing emergency phone calls.
    ▲ Edward James Strickland, 37, Oak Hill Mobile Home Park — theft by shoplifting.
    ▲ Jeannie Darlene Lesh, 51, Cherokee Street, Waycross — criminal trespass, theft by shoplifting.
    ▲ Clinton Cedric Jones, 52, (no specific address), Eden — theft by shoplifting.

➤ Incidents
    ▲ HART LANE — Someone called police to intervene between a man and a woman who were arguing over an ended relationship. The female called the complainant for help during the argument and the complainant called police, who arrested the man after finding him in possession of a hand-rolled marijuana cigar.
    ▲ WESTSIDE GOLD AND PAWN — A man called police after his juvenile son punched him in the face during an argument.
    In a separate incident, the owner called police regarding an unruly customer. However, when police arrived, both parties signed a waiver of prosecution.
    ▲ JOHNSON STREET — A woman said a man she knows by the name “Danny Boy” pushed her.
    ▲ WALMART — A man and woman tried getting refunds for an electric toothbrush, curling iron and bed sheets they removed from store shelves.
    ▲ UNIVERSITY PINES — A man reported someone stole a blue 1996 Chevrolet Caprice.
    ▲ KMART — A man concealed $110 worth of body fragrances inside his coat and tried leaving without paying. He was caught and arrested.

    ▲ Amber Lynn Hoffman, 23, Tahiti Trail — DUI, headlights violation.
    ▲ Charles Allen, 18, Chandler Road — underage possession of alcohol, possession of a fraudulent ID.

➤ Incidents
    ▲ Officers issued one traffic warning and assisted three motorists Thursday.
    ▲ PAULSON PARKING — Three vehicles were found to be damaged.
    ▲ UNIVERSITY VILLAS — Officers investigated a hit-and-run accident.
    ▲ SOUTHERN PINES - Officers responded to a call about an unknown person sleeping on the couch. The unknown person was arrested.
