A probation compliance check Wednesday led to the arrest for four people suspected of manufacturing methamphetamine. Bulloch County Drug Suppression Team agents seek a fifth man still at large, said Inv. Jim Riggs.
    Around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Riggs and other drug suppression team members assisted state probation officers in a compliance check at an Old River Road North home, he said.
    “We had received information for quite some time about illegal drug activity in the area,” he said.
    When they arrived at the home, investigators found four suspects along with methamphetamine as well as an illegal amount of pseudoephedrine in various stages of being used for producing meth, Riggs said.
    “There was pseudoephedrine in different
stages, pills, in powder form, in a blender, in coffee filters and in blister packs,” he said. “There were also smoking pipes, tin foil smoking boats (used to smoke meth), scales, baggies and cash.” The suspects were making methamphetamine at the old River Road home, where suspect Christie Lynne Brannen, 43, lived. Brannen is charged with probation violation, possession of methamphetamine, manufacturing methamphetamine and unlawful possession of pseudoephedrine.
    Also arrested were Robert Dean Blackburn, 54, Possum Lath, Metter, charged with possession of methamphetamine,  manufacturing methamphetamine and unlawful possession of pseudoephedrine; John Timothy Collins, 42, Dover Road, Dover, charged with possession of methamphetamine,  manufacturing methamphetamine, unlawful possession of pseudoephedrine and possession of a Schedule IV narcotic (Darvocet); and Jennifer Dawn Stansbury, 37, Waters Cemetery Road, charged with possession of methamphetamine,  manufacturing methamphetamine and unlawful possession of pseudoephedrine.
    Investigators are seeking Donald Kevin Morris, 39, who also lived at the Old River Road residence. Charges against Morris are pending.
    “Sheriff Lynn Anderson encourages citizens to report any suspicious activity,” Riggs said. “Methamphetamine continues to be a major drug problem in the county.”
