Claxton girls win big
    CLAXTON — The Claxton Lady Tigers ran away from Wheeler County, 55-26, Tuesday at home.
    The Tigers (4-4) were led by Ikeria Brown, who recorded a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Jazmine Brown added 10 points and eight steals, and Devonna Brewton scored 13 points.
    Claxton hosts Johnson on Friday.


Sands matches EBA total
    BURKE — Mickay Sands of the Bulloch Academy junior varsity Lady Gators scored 19 points, and so did Edmund Burke Academy.
    The Gators knocked off EBA, 24-19 on Tuesday.


St. Vincent's escapes Metter
    SAVANNAH — St. Vincent's girls escaped with a 53-47 win Tuesday over Metter.
    Alicia Collins led the Lady Tigers with 11 points.

Ming leads SEB JV to win
    BROOKLET — The Islands' junior-varsity squad fell at Southeast Bulloch, 54-31, Tuesday afternoon.
    Marquell Ming led the JV Yellow Jackets with 12 points.


Claxton downs Wheeler
    CLAXTON — Cornelious Taylor dropped 22 points as the Claxton Tigers (5-3) beat Wheeler County, 54-34, Tuesday at home.
    Trey Hines added 12 points, and Jaki Thompkins added 11.


Treutlen tops Lady Panthers
    SOPERTON — The Portal Lady Panthers (3-2) fell on the road Tuesday, 48-27.
    Sheyanna Hagins scored eight points.
    Portal's game with Emanuel County Institute that was scheduled for Saturday has been cancelled due to ECI's State Championship football game scheduled for the same day.
