The NCAA has set the schedule for the quarterfinal round of the Football Championship Subdivision, and it calls for Georgia Southern to play Saturday.
The fifth-seed Eagles will face fourth-seed Old Dominion in Norfolk, Va., at noon Saturday. The game will be televised on ESPN.
Georgia Southern advanced to the quarterfinal round with a 24-16 win over Central Arkansas on Saturday at Paulson Stadium. The Monarchs advanced by beating Coastal Carolina, 63-35, on Saturday.
If you want to see Georgia Southern play Old Dominion in person, the Georgia Southern Athletic Foundation announced Sunday that it has partnered with Burns World Travel to provide fans a travel package.
The package includes travel by bus, a hotel room for Friday night and a ticket to the game.
To reserve a seat, contact Patty Burns at (912) 489-4040 or pburns@burnsworldtravel.com. The deadline to reserve a seat is 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Wofford is the only other Southern Conference team still alive. The Terriers will travel to Fargo, N.D., to face No. 1 North Dakota State at 3 p.m. Saturday.
Illinois State, which blocked an extra point in overtime to defeat Appalachian State, will travel to Cheney, Wash., to play No. 2 Eastern Washington at 6 p.m. Saturday.
The only Friday game is Sam Houston State at No. 3 Montana State, which is scheduled for 8 p.m.
