Jon Johnson joins Viracon Statesboro

            Viracon has named Jon Johnson director of manufacturing responsible for staging, laminating, IG and the box shop at the Statesboro plant in the Gateway Industrial Park. In his new position, Johnson will focus on workflow, quality and productivity.

            Johnson has worked for viracon since 1987. Through the years, he has held progressive leadership positions in Owatonna Manufacturing, including serving as the staging/frames manager for the past 10 years. He is also a Six Sigma Green Belt.

            “As we continue to meet growing demand for our products, we are excited to add 20 years of Viracon manufacturing experience to our team in Statesboro,” said Bob Randall, vice president of operations at Viracon Statesboro. “As we strive for continuous improvement at Viracon with emphasis on quality and service, we believe Jon’s proven leadership will be a great asset across all production processes.”

            The father of two and an avid outdoorsman, Johnson recently relocated to the Statesboro area for his new position.

 

Sue Malone named Frontier manager 

            Sue Malone was recently named local manager to lead Frontier's business in the Statesboro community.

            Malone has been with the company for 38 years and most recently served as customer care supervisor.

            She held a variety of positions including plant service center supervisor, operator services supervisor and business office manager.

            In her new position, Malone will be actively involved in the community and will also oversee the performance of Frontier's products, sales and service results. Reporting to her will be William Ingham, operations manager, in Statesboro.

            Malone is a native of Statesboro and is involved with the Chamber of Commerce, the United Way, the Diabetes Association and the March of Dimes.
