Text Size: Small Large Medium

A candidate forum for Statesboro City Council’s District 1 special election will be shown live on Northland Cable Channel 2 beginning at 7 p.m.

The forum is the one chance for all four candidates – Phil Boyum, Per Holtze, Maurice Jackson and Jonathan McCollar – to share a stage and make their cases to the voters.

The Statesboro Herald is the sponsor of the event, which takes place at the Emma Kelly Theater.

The entire forum will be available for viewing on statesboroherald.com Wednesday. The election takes place in conjunction with the Nov. 6 general election. The winner will fill the unexpired term of Tommy Blitch, who resigned in August.
