Early in his career, Moore worked as an engineer for McDonnell Douglas Corporation on NASA’s Spacelab Program at Florida’s  Kennedy Space Center.

“I am very excited to become a member of the Georgia Southern community,” Moore said. “Everyone has been so friendly and supportive.”

Moore was awarded the National Outstanding Educator Award by the Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) in April 2007. He served as regional director of the Southeast region of the ASC from 2004 to 2006.
