Rushing-Fleming

    Ms. Linda Tuthill and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thomas Rushing, all of Statesboro, announce the engagement of their daughter, Marissa Ann Talon Rushing of Statesboro, to Michael Franklin Fleming Jr. of Riverdale, Ga., son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Franklin Fleming Sr. of Rock Hill, S.C., and Mr. and Mrs. Jackie and Debbie Holloway of Jackson, Ga.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Eugene Tuthill and the late Mary Ann Stephens Tuthill of Marietta and Mrs. John N. Rushing Jr. of Statesboro and the late Mr. Rushing. A 2003 graduate of Bulloch Academy, she attended Georgia Southern University for two years before transferring to Ogeechee Technical College. She will graduate with a degree in diagnostic medical sonography in March 2008.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph F. Bruner of Jonesboro, Ga., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ted Franklin Fleming of Bristol, Tenn. He is a 1999 graduate of Lovejoy High School and is a 2003 graduate of Atlanta Christian College, where he majored in music and minored in biblical studies. He is employed with Clearview Services Inc. as a subcontractor.
    The couple has planned to wed on September 15, 2007, at 6 p.m. at the Independent Presbyterian Church in Savannah.
