Ralph Andrews

This Lifetime Achievement Award goes to one with an exceptionally long history of serving others.
He has been active in the "A Day for Southern" fund drive for over 20 years. He has been a long-time contributor to efforts of the Boys & Girls Club of Statesboro and is a past member of the Statesboro Rotary Club.
Our honoree has dedicated over 20 years to serving more than 60 sack lunch and breakfast meals every week through the Meals on Wheels program.
He supports Safe Haven Womens Shelter and has donated to a long list of local charities and organizations over the years.
Our honoree served on the Statesboro Regional Library board of trustees from 1992 to 1998, and he is a respected deacon of Statesboro's First Baptist Church.
Through the years, our recipient has often helped the less fortunate by doing small things such as offering free dry cleaning to those in need. He gave numerous young college students jobs and fatherly guidance as they worked for him in one of his dry cleaning centers.
Yes, this good man has a long record of supporting many local charities through donation of time and money. Every year as winter approached, his business was the heart of coat and clothing donations organized by different civic clubs.
Our recipient is no stranger to being honored by his community. In 2001 he was named Business Leader of the Year by the Statesboro-Bulloch County Chamber of Commerce. He received the Winston Bells Humanitarian Award in 2000, the NAACP Humanitarian Award in 2001 and was named a Beta Gama Sigma honoree in 2002.
This man was part of the original group that started this Deen Day Smith Service to Mankind awards program in 1989, and he was recognized in 2002 when the selection committee presented him with a Founders Award.
Ralph Andrews is a well deserving recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award.
