Boro armed robbery suspects captured

A Bulloch County Sheriff's deputy arrested a man and woman suspected of armed robbery after  the victim, who was riding with the deputy, spotted his assailants' car.
Bulloch County Sheriff Lynn Anderson said deputies responded to a 911 call about an armed robbery on Country Club Road around 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Deputies arrived at the Hood Road home from where the 911 call originated, and met with a female complainant who directed them to the male victim, who had walked to her house after being robbed, he said.
The victim, whom Anderson did not identify, told deputies he was on Country Club Road earlier when his vehicle broke down. He was trying to fix it "when a vehicle drove up and stopped," he said.
The victim told deputies "two ... males got out," he said. "One of the suspects held a dark-colored hand gun to (the victim's) head and demanded that he empty his pockets."
The victim complied, and the two suspects got back into their car and drove off, he said.
The victim, who was not injured, walked to the complainant's home on Hood Road to call for help, since the suspects took his cell phone, Anderson said.
After meeting with deputies, the victim was riding back with one deputy to the Sheriff's office to make a statement, and he "spotted the suspect's vehicle," he said. "Deputies stopped the vehicle ... and the victim identified both occupants ... as the ones who robbed him."
Deputies recovered the victim's property from the suspects' car and arrested Theresa Tasha Youmans, 25, Laircey Apartments, Statesboro, on charges of armed robbery and of deposit account fraud after finding she was wanted for that crime, he said.
They also arrested Eugene Lavockle Roberts, 18, Lafayette Street, on charges of armed robbery and of concealing identity by wearing a mask, Anderson said.
Both suspects are currently held without bond in the Bulloch Count Jail, awaiting court procedures, he said.
