Stubbs-Brinson

    Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Stubbs announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Elizabeth Evelyn Stubbs, to John Tom Brinson Jr., son of Johnny Brinson and Patty Brinson of Statesboro.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W.0. Stubbs of Statesboro and Mr. and Mrs. F. Ned Boring of Stone Mountain. Elizabeth graduated from Statesboro High School in 1997 as an honor graduate and is a 2002 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a bachelor of science degree in early childhood education. She is currently attending Covenant College and will graduate in May 2007 with a master’s of education in educational leadership. Elizabeth is employed with Augusta Preparatory Day School in Augusta as a fourth grade teacher. She is an alumna of Phi Mu fraternity.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas C. Brinson of Statesboro and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Sanders of Brooklet. Tom graduated from Statesboro High School in 1997 and is a 2003 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering technology and is a 2004 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering technology. He is employed with Electrical Design Consultants of Augusta. He is an alumna of the Kappa Alpha Order.
    The couple has planned to wed on December 16, 2006 at 5 in the afternoon. The wedding will take place at First Baptist Church of Statesboro with the reception immediately following.
    No local invitations will be sent. All friends and relatives are invited to attend.
