    Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Murdock of Columbus, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Murdock, to Adam Cirilo Aseron, son of Connie Graham and Dr. Cirilo Aseron of Statesboro.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Robert and Kathleen Meadows of Columbus and the late Brooks and Lillie Pearl Murdock of Columbus. Lauren is a 1999 graduate of Columbus High School and is a 2003 graduate of Georgia Southern University, where she earned a bachelor of science in kinesiology. She is an alumna of Phi Mu Sorority and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in surgical physician assistant studies from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Al and Irene Pritchard of Oswego, N.Y. Adam is a 1998 graduate of Statesboro High School and is a 2002 graduate of the University of Georgia, where he earned a bachelor of business administration in banking and finance. In 2006, he received a juris doctor from the University of Texas School of Law. Currently, he is a federal judicial clerk for the Honorable Thomas B. Bennett of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Alabama.
    The couple has planned to wed on August 18, 2007, at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Columbus.
    All friends and relatives are invited to attend.
