Citizens Bank of Bulloch County announces the promotion of Kevin A. Harrison to the office of president. Harrison will fill the position vacated by David P. Beaubien as he joins the Citizens Bank local advisory board and takes the position of executive director of the Eagle Fund, with the Georgia Southern University Found-ation.
Harrison started with Citizens in 2007 as the executive vice president.
He earned a BBA in finance from Georgia Southern in 2002 and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in 2003. He is affiliated with the local United Way, Boys and Girls Club and also participated in the 2009 class of Leadership Bulloch.
He is a member of the Coastal Conservation Association, Rotary Club of Statesboro, and attends Statesboro First United Methodist Church with his family. Harrison and his wife Mary Helen have a son Davis, and a daughter Brynn.
"I am personally excited about this opportunity and want to assure all of our customers that they can expect the same great service and my door is always open," Harrison said. "We wish David the best and look forward to continued bank efforts with him."
Beaubien has served several banks in Bulloch County, but most notably his banking career accomplishment is the creation and opening of Citizens Bank of Bulloch County. The small loan production office, an affiliate of Citizens Bank of Washington County, was opened in 2006 with one staff member. By the fall of 2008, he had assembled a team of banking experts and opened a brand new full service bank.
"I set out to accomplish a successful customer base, build a great team, put them in a beautiful building in a fine location, and that's what I did," Beaubien said. "I enjoyed the challenge, and feel like I've done my best. Now, I really look forward to taking on a new role with the bank and new challenges at Georgia Southern."
