Alana Avret was named sales manager of Synovus Mortgage Corp. at Sea Island Bank in Statesboro while Joe Lanier joined the staff as a mortgage lending officer, said D. Wayne Akins Jr., SIB president and CEO.
“Alana is recognized for her strong background in a broad range of residential loan programs for primary residences, second homes and investment properties,” commented Akins. “In her new position, she will manage our sales team to ensure professional performance and exceptional service for our customers.
“We are also excited to have Joe join our banking team,” Akins continued. "He is a Bulloch County native who is very familiar with this market area. His background in construction and real estate will be a complement to our staff.”
On a related note, Akins said both Avret and Lanier will be serving mortgage customers at Sea Island’s new professional center which will open in early March at 1205 Brampton Ave. in Statesboro’s Market District.
Kim Brannen, SIB vice president and manager of the Private Client Group, added, “We will offer a full array of deposit and loan services in addition to mortgage lending, brokerage and trust services.
“Our team of 11 professionals has over 100 years of combined banking experience,” continued Brannen, who said the bank is planning a ribbon cutting and open house March 22 from 5 - 7 p.m.
