Amy Lee Spurlock Dr. Kenneth Jackson DeLay Jr.


Dr. and Mrs. Noel Lee Spurlock of Pace, Florida, announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Lee Spurlock, to Dr. Kenneth Jackson DeLay Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Jackson DeLay of Millen, Georgia.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Anita Spurlock of Milton and the late Mr. E.M. Spurlock and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Harmon of Cantonment. Miss Spurlock is a 2001 graduate of Pace High School and graduated from Samford University, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2005. She earned a Master's of Education in Higher Education in 2009 from the University of South Carolina. She presently works at Emory University School of Nursing in Atlanta, Ga., as an admissions advisor.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mrs. Retha Moxley of Twin City and the late Mr. Homer Lamar Moxley and Mr. William Jackson DeLay of Statham and the late Mrs. Jean DeLay. Dr. DeLay is a 2001 graduate of Jenkins County High School. He graduated, cum laude, in 2006 from the University of Georgia, with a Bachelor of Science in Cellular Biology. He is a 2010 summa cum laude graduate of the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine. Dr. DeLay is employed at Emory University in Atlanta as a resident physician in Urological Surgery.

The couple will exchange vows March 19, 2011, at Cokesbury United Methodist Church in Pensacola.
