Police Report - July 30

Statesboro Police Arrests
    Sammie L. Anderson, 54, South College Street — probation violation.

Bulloch Sheriff's Arrests
    Arrests  made Tuesday and Wednesday will be published Friday.

Georgia State Patrol Arrests
    Troopers issued two traffic violation citations Tuesday.
 
Georgia Southern University Arrests
    Officers issued one traffic citation Monday and one citation Tuesday.

Statesboro Police Incidents
    MIKE-ANN DRIVE — A woman heard a noise and saw three people leaving her drive. She later discovered a tire had been slashed on her car.
    FOXRIDGE APARTMENTS — A man said a woman forced open his door in order to get her property. She was a former roommate.
    ANDERSON STREET — A man and woman argued over infidelity issues, and the woman said the man grabbed her neck and pushed her down. He told police she threw two vases at him.
    SOUTH COLLEGE STREET — A man said his girlfriend "reacted to a medical condition" and became irate, and broke a flower pot. When police arrived at the scene due to his call, they discovered he was wanted on a probation violation and arrested him.
    EAST GEORGIA REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER —  A woman said someone shattered her window and stole her purse.
    UNIVERSITY PINES APARTMENTS — A woman said she came home to find her doors unlocked, pantry door open and a DVD player missing.
    STADIUM WALK APARTMENTS — A woman said someone drew on the walls of an apartment with green marker, smeared peanut butter on the walls and broke a smoke detector.
       
Bulloch County Sheriff's Incidents
    McKELVEEN POND ROAD — (Register) Deputies responding to a call about a theft in progress met with Candler County deputies, as well as the witness who had followed the suspects into Candler County, and the suspects themselves. A woman and two juveniles were arrested for theft of steel fence posts.
    BERTIE LANE — (Statesboro) A man reported the theft of checks that were also forged.
    HENRY FUTCH ROAD — (Pembroke) A man called the sheriff's department to report his landlord harassed him by screaming at him when he had guests over, telling him he could not have people at his residence.
    OLD CARRIAGE TRAIL — (Statesboro) A man reported a Macy's VISA card stolen, and someone charged amounts at match.com, singlesnet.com and elsewhere, without his knowledge or permission.
    ELDORA ROAD — (Ellabell) A woman reported the theft of a Wal-Mart gift card out of her mailbox.
    MAGNOLIA CHURCH ROAD — (Brooklet) A woman told deputies she is getting harassing calls from a Florida woman.
    LAKEVIEW ROAD — (Statesboro) A man and woman were engaged in a domestic dispute near the landfill. Deputies responded to  the scene and diffused the situation.
    DYCHES ROAD — (Statesboro) A man said he called his estranged wife ( whom he is divorcing) about setting up visitation with their kids, and the woman's boyfriend took the phone and cursed him, threatening to beat him up.
 
Georgia State Patrol Incidents
    Troopers issued 42 warnings and investigated three crashes with eight reported injuries Tuesday.

Georgia Southern University Incidents
    Officers issued one traffic warning and assisted one motorist Monday and returned a found wallet to the owner.
    SWEETHEART CIRCLE — Officers responded to a report of a sick person.
    NESSMITH-LANE BUILDING — Someone reported a case of theft. No details were listed in reports regarding items taken.
 
Central 911 Reports
    Central 911 dispatchers issued the following calls Tuesday:
    Bulloch County Sheriff's Department — 14 calls.
    Statesboro Police Department — 20 calls.
    Georgia State Patrol — eight calls.
    Candler County Sheriff's Department — nine calls.
    Evans County Sheriff's Department — four calls.
    Claxton Police Department — three calls.
       
911 Fire Department Reports
    Central 911 dispatchers issued the following calls Tuesday:
    Statesboro Fire Department — two  calls.
    Bulloch County Volunteer Firefighters — two calls.
         
911 EMS Reports
    Central 911 dispatchers issued the following calls Tuesday:
    Bulloch County EMS —  two accident calls, one rescue call, one fire call and 15 medical calls.
    Candler County EMS — two medical calls.
    Evans County EMS — one accident call and one medical call.
    Central 911 dispatchers also routed the following calls: six calls to Bulloch County First Responders, two calls to Bryan County 911 and one call to Emanuel County 911.
