Earth Day observation at Georgia Southern

Georgia Southern University Environmental Sustainability Coordinator Monique Dipple, far left, and student Angela Otumfuor sell re-usable recycling bags during Wednesday's Earth Day observance on campus. The bags were decorated with artwork representing sustainability and recycling and were created by students in the Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art.

Georgia Southern student observed Earth Day Wednesday on campus. The event held at the Rotunda outside the Russell Student Union, also featured music, various educational and environmental displays, activities for kids and raffles.  There also was a hands-on “Art from Found Objects” Workshop.
