"This is for Rev. Al Sharpton. You're right, police do apprehend suspects. They don't kill them. But what are the police to do when they're faced with someone who shoots three of their officers? And let's not forget this was a drug raid at a house where drugs were found. And the … even if she is 92 years old, was sellin' drugs and she shot officers, what are police to do but defend themselves? A 92-year-old woman or 88-year-old woman can kill someone just as quick as a 21-year-old."

"We still need a Publix, still need a Kroger … still need amajor grocery store. Nothin's changed. Population's growin'. We need a major grocery store to 'commodate the people. That's why a lot of people drive to Savannah. Nothin's changed, chamber of commerce."

"Bulloch County Board of Education taxes our property, our cars and gets 2 cents of every dollar that we spend. Why does the Herald not consider it a public service to cover their board meetings?"

"What a great article, 'Finding health at work'. And you thought big business … main concern was the cash register. There still a lot of good people in this world."

"I just read about keepin' Bulloch beautiful with the trees, today's paper, Tuesday. Are you kidding? All the destruction of our woods and land for building and housing projects. How are you gonna keep it beautiful with trees? There aren't any more."

"I wish I knew the name of the veterinarian who refused treatment of the dog, Sonny, with the chain embedded in his neck. How could a veterinarian just not do anything and send the man away with the dog suffering? If I knew the name of the veterinarian, I'd make sure that nobody ever bought their animal to him again."

"This is for the person who wanted to find a dentist in Statesboro that takes Medicaid. Dr. Kicklighter will and he's a real nice dentist."
