A life celebration event is being planned for long-time Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office employee Capt. Bennie Rushing, who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer.
The event will be held at the Kiwanis Fairgrounds, with the date and time as well as additional details, to be announced later.
Friends, family members, coworkers and others who would like to participate in the event by sharing fond memories or moments are asked to contact Sissy Carter at 536-7902 or either she, Cheryl Hagan or Terry Harville at 764-8888.
Rushing, who has been in area law enforcement for about 40 years, is currently employed at the Bulloch County Jail. He has been diagnosed with colorectal, liver and lung cancer and is currently undergoing treatment for the disease.
